To all the Doom fans out there, and game development communities. I know this game is very old, and your probably wondering why I would create music for such an out-dated title. The reasons are few, but important to me. The new games that are coming out in the FPS genre have, for the most part...and in my opinion, lost the true feeling of "fantasy". Most are either based partially, or wholly in reality. Um, we have to deal with reality on a regular basis. Why would I want MORE reality in my gaming? Anyway, you get the point.
I absolutely love this game in how beautifully the levels were constructed...with red and blue skies, sometimes they were on fire. With moving, toxic, blue and green floors. The blend of Horror, Medieval, and Sci-Fi elements is unparalleled. The splendor of entering another dimension. There is another game that managed to capture that feel quite effectively. It is called Painkiller. Dreamcatcher gets it...why can't more companies do the same? I'll be posting a vid of Painkiller soon. Have a great day. C'mon game developers! Let's see some science fantasy come back to gaming:-)
I purposely created music that was very similar to the actual game music created by Aubrey Hodges. I wanted to capture the feel as effectively as possible. His contribution to the game was indispensable. Enjoy!
No ... not they rock - YOU rock ! :D
your music and sense for atmosphere is amazing !
I really need to get this game for an emulator by the way :D
