A popular and inspiring pair from the cornfields of Indiana (my home state} that always managed to have surprizingly interesting choreography. This Olympic "cowboy shoot 'em up" short program, was particularly effective in Calgary! They eventually won two US Silvers (85,89) and US Bronzes (86, 88), often duking it out with another pair Katy Keeley and Joseph Mero (who won Bronze in 87 and 89)!

  • They were and still are out hometown hero's here in Marion,Indiana!

  • Actually, they have an even longer competitive history. 2nd in 1985 to Watson/Oppegard, 3rd in 1986 to Wachsman/Waggoner (1st) and Watson/Oppegard (2nd), 4th in 87, slipping under Katy Keeley and Joseph Mero, 3rd in 88, and finally 2nd again in 1989, as you mention!! A solid team!! thanks for commenting!

  • I believe that the following year (1989) that they won the silver medal at US Nationals behind Yamaguchi and Galindo. Great pair nonetheless.
