  • @treverlid87 *they're

  • @GARYisweet very well put nugants are very cheap and the 7.62x54 is a good round but they are very long and heavy i guess its up to the buyer very good rifle

  • The favorite hunting rifle of professional deer poachers in the deep south is a .22WMR semi-auto. Two or three quick shots and the deer is absolutely dead, and not a lot of noise. If it wasn't adequate, they wouldn't use it. .300 RemMag is WAAAYYYYY overkill on most North American big game, which is mainly deer. Muzzle blast, recoil and noise does NOT automatically equal better. An old .303 British #5 Jungle Carbine is one of the finest whitetail deer rifles ever, and it wasn't mentioned.

  • for $100, buy a mosin

  • the Winchester 70 weather extreme ss in 300 win mag - is my Armageddon sniper rifle - I've shot 20 inch steel plate @ 1400yds. The rifle is better than I can shoot it.

  • bought my Savage Axis in .223 remington for $249 and the last 100 yrd grouping i shot with it was .68" with Hornady superformace varmint ammo...the 700 and model 70 are way out there are the 'baseline' rifles, not 'affordable'.

  • @sk6lz2pr haha what's REALLY getting on my nerves is im saving for a new rifle a remington 700 sendero :) in the mean time the mosin will heal my needs

  • @MrDip02 Yeah I'll agree with that, I've shot a few dodgy old Mosins but anyone with half a brain should know what to look for in a rifle of their vintage. Damn all this talk is really making my trigger finger itch like a mutha fucka!!!

  • @sk6lz2pr haha why well i just say acceptable because not all mosins will be at it's peak of accuracy but a little bit of work and holy hell those things can probably beat modern hunting rifles

  • @MrDip02 Yup i'll second all of that lol, oh wait I already have.... For the price you can pick a mosin up for I think everyone should have at least 5 lol..... I'd go a bit further than acceptable accuracy though..... I've out shot a mate of mine and his sako several times useing my prize 91/30 with the original PU scope out to 1 km. The 91/30 pretty much won WW2 lol.
