@billcary30 Barb was entering a new 'church' and had to be rebaptized into their faith.. she leaves. end.. the 'dead' episode was baptizing Margene's mother.

Question! I need background on this scene. So why is a woman baptizing and is it for the dead of no? And is she out of the LDS church?

wow, someone did not do their homework!

@baritonesinger95 A woman is baptising because this was a break off sect - a church which enabled females to become priesthood holders. Barb was excommunicated from the LDS church for being a polygamist. She chose this group because she still wanted to be part of organised religion but one which put women on an equal footing with men.

@billcary30 On the road trip episode Barb was baptised on behalf of Margene's dead mother so Ginger could be part of the family in the afterlife.

not here - she changes her mind - not without her family
after Bill dies and Sarah returns ''11 months later' she baptises the baby - means either she got baptised here at some point, or maybe something happened with the new church Bill started, and maybe Ben took over and gave women the priesthood, or who knows what.happened. it was unclear

@batgurrl It wasn't unclear at all (maybe it was the wording of the title of the video). As Bill was dying, he wanted Barb to bless him, something only priesthood holders can do. She took that to mean she was a priesthood holder for Bill's church. Also, not to be picky but the baby wasn't baptised, that doesn't happen until the child is older - see Teenie's baptism. I think he was just blessed.
