It's NOT CHRISTIAN to endorse slavery, fund and engage in the genocide over the indians, Use black enlisted men in the US Army as guinea pigs, use capitalism to opress, Intern thousands of Japanese in WWII, promote child labor, Smash unions. ban integration. allow abortion THESE ARE HORRIBLE PARTS OF THE US HISTORY. The non-abrahamic religions function so much better. It is such a shame that they have not become the most powerful religions in the most powerful nations. Had that happened, the world would be a much better place (this is my opinion as an atheist).

For example, there is a phrase in the hindu scriptures that says of god

'He knows... Or, he may not know'

they have the guts, and their religion is open enough to admit its flaws.

Then you get people like Obama who chose to interpret different parts of the bible, like to treat others as you would treat yourself. How can any religion function properly if there is this much variation in it?

The problem with a religion like christianity is that most of the 'holy' scriptures are contradictory. Bush chose to interpret the part of the bible which tells us that the christian god wanted his followers to destroy 'unbelievers'.
