17 picks in practically just 3 full seasons?? He only played 2 games his senior season before getting hurt for the year.. That should tell you how good his coverage and play making skills are to go along with his run stopping ability.. I can already imagine all the different ways Rob Ryan is gonna use this kid.. This could be a great sleeper pick!

Love this guy glad he is on my favorite team COWBOYS!!! His field vision and hit power seems very identical to La'Ron Landry, they both can close on the ball quickly to deliver that big hit. He also has that closing speed to catch people from behind I"m cheering for you MJ no homo lol....

for 1 he plays D1-AA so its not D2. in 2010 EWU won the national championship and normally the first two games are against D1 schools. funny how everyone skips over the fact the he killed it against colorado, nevada, washington, and tons of other school that are D1-A (big boys)

Just so u guys know just because you get drafted in the late rounds dont mean you suck period. A lot of players in The NFL start off as special teamers and become great players. Dont matter if your drafted 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th or 7th round. Even if u were undrafted. Matt johnson had 17 INT's. Thats more INT's then any safety that got tookin high in the draft.

He shows up on tape more than any player on the field and when you watch him during rookie mini-camp he stood out well above the rest. This guy had pro day number better then EVERY safety that was drafted except Mark Barron. Do yourself a favor and don't type if you don't know what you are talking about moron.

Nice of you to avoid my post and then make up some stupid shit like this. Listen here little boy, D2 has produced some of the best players in football. To say no player can make transition to NFL is completely and utter retarded. Matt Johnson as said by Jason Garrett himself, was brought in to be a special teams player AND a positional player YEAR ONE.

Brandon Carr is an exception, not a rule.
Jason Garrett's quote before the draft was 1st rounders should be instant starters, 2-3 rounders are developed into starters, and 4-7 are role players.
Matt Johnson is a D2 scrubs brought in for special teams. To believe anything else would be ignorant, not to mention extremely homer.
This draft has 2 starters in Claiborne and Crawford and a bunch of role players

high school level scrubs? If d2 sucks so badly why does the cowboys highest paid corner come from Grand Valley State drafted in the 5th round. dont sleep on these guys, that is ignorant.

1/3 you say? thats crazy to think about. out of curiosity do you know if it's from injury or just cant play at the next level that ends most of their careers?
