A very rarely seen performance of "Look Back In Anger" from 10th September 1988.

Recorded for a program called "Wrap Around the World" a 90-minute live television broadcast featuring performances and other events produced simultaneously from 10 countries in Europe and Asia.

Bowie's performance was filmed at PBS Studios in New York. There is the odd bit of German commentary on this clip but this is an excellent performance and rare clip. Enjoy

Hope you like and subscribe to my David Bowie Rare Videos Channel. Also I am currently working on a Bowie website covering Rare Audio & Video, any contributions you can make in the way of suggestions or even lists of items then please feel free to message me. All contributions wanted.

Regards
Matt

  • @thevoid99 well, he has the right to hate them, they belong to him, and thank god he also made some awesome albums after the 80s :)

  • @elleCDE i do like "time will crawl" as well as the title track and "day in day out" but everything else... blech! "tonight" only had "blue jeans" and "loving the alien" while everything else is horrible. bowie hates those albums.

  • @thevoid99 yes I have, I got the cd in a second hand shop. It's not a good album, but it has a couple of good songs...I like "Time Will Crawl" and I do love "The Glass Spider" :)

  • @elleCDE have you really listened to that album? it's horrible but not as bad as "tonight".

  • @MegaLochgelly I disagree: this huge song is from a HUGE album, Lodger...and then you have the mighty Scary Monsters. Later 80s albums are no genius work, but still you'll find some very good songs in there, like "the glass spider"...and then came the 90s, thank the gods :)

  • @thevoid99 you can't spit on an album where a Glass Spider is, waiting to drape your skeleton over its web ;)

  • no, this was the start of bowie getting back to making music for the right reasons again. "tonight" was the start of the decline" and "never let me down" was its nadir.

  • God, this is shite. The start of the decline;-(

  • that horny bitch is outa control

  • i remember watching this on TV... yes ch13 (NYC's PBS station)
