@Thehighrevolutionary actually, otaku is an insulting term dubbed by the Japanese to other Japanese whom have an over-obsession to anime. They also view otakus as being bad considering a few murderers in the past decade or so having to do with being otakus. Example: The Otaku Murderer ( Tsutomu Miyazaki ) had an odd fascination with anime, manga, and child pornography before committing several murders. Japan just took to associating the two.

I don't get why people hate their songs, and say that this is "emo" music. For fuck's sake, my favourite bands are The Cure and The Smiths and I still love this. People have to recognize that this is amazing music. You can actually feel all the emotions that Gerard Way and his band put on their songs, that's something unique.
