I used to be involved in the United Pentecostal Church. And, it was by far the absolute WORST experience in my life. You live in fear even when u leave. They tell u that IF u leave, all sorts of HORRIBLE things WILL happen to u. Total mind control. And they work u up emotionally and BREAK U DOWN so that they can then make u how THEY want u to be. Grown men just WEEP and BAWL there. They manipulate ur emotions like u wouldn't believe. And then take ur money. And completely CONTROL ur life ...

Why don't they investigate Oneness Pentecostalism, too? Apostolics have a LOT of the same beliefs and practices and are VERY abusive. Not all of them are, of course. But, wayyy toooo many of them are. They do NOT believe in polygamy, but there IS child abuse going on in MANY of their churches. And, they use fear, guilt, condemnation to hell if u don't conform. They dress the same. Have a LOT of the same "holiness standards." Can't own TV's, can't do this .... can't do that.
