Rin and Len were based on Left and Right.They were made after Miku,but there was a demand for a male vocaloid.So they decided to use someone who could do both male and female.They aren't really a genderbend.They're seperate existence is SURE.There was a rumor that they were endorsed to America as Twins,unlike in Japan,where thier relation can be thought of as unknown.

Because they are MIRROR images, I think of them as a gender-bend of each other, only with a different voice.
