  • Congrats on having the best XR400 vid on the web!

  • Where are you at 1:54?

  • that second hill in the video, like the first 5 seconds in, is that Jawbone Canyon? I took my 230 up that hill man, you can make it up on a 400.

  • sorry about the song, checked it on the description, thanks anyway man!

  • hi man, awesome vid, skills and ofc awesome bike!! i have a 89 yamaha tt350,and this things are unbreakable!! btw,can you tell me the name of the song??

Those newer, high reving, light flywheel are no match for an XR in the tight single track. I have seen it many times, you come around a slow blind corner only to be face to face with a steep uphill switch back. With the XR, no problem, just roll on the throttle and torque your way up and out. I never have to feather the clutch to keep rpm up. The only maintainance I have done on my two XR400Rs is change the oil/filter and checked or adjusted the valves a couple of times a year.

  • I own two XR400rs, an '01 and and '03 that is CA plated.

We ride almost all the places shown in this video and I would not want anything under me than an XR400. It is one of the most reliable bikes out there still. It has gotten me back to camp everytime, sometimes with other bikes in tow.LOL

The tractor like torque will get you up anything, as long as you can stay on it.

  • nice vid !

  • in nv?
