Google Earth lets you add a photo as it was taken. In other words, in the same direction, angle, and zoom as the original photo was taken. If you match it against Google's background 3D terrain (or if the same 3D buildings are there), you can get surprisingly accurate placement.

This is a great "second step" to uploading photos to Google Earth. I say "second step" because the "first step" is uploading to Panoramio, which is very easy I thought. I like this video because it's short and to the point. I tried watching another one (8 min. long) that seemed to take forever, but it did also show you about Panoramio. Thanks for posting and giving me some tools that I plan to put into good use. My Panoramio name is dpepper73 if you were wondering.

I have a question that can everybody see my tagged place or not??
3 months ago i tagged a place & i was able to see it from other places over internet.
But this time, after i reinstalled my windows & Google earth, i tagged a place but could not found the place i tagged this time from anywhere. :-(
Is these tags stored Just on Local machine while u tag the place or on the Google Database?? Please help! Not even able to find soln on Google!!
