Beyond Reality - Project Runway 5 Recap 7/30/08
Last time on Project Runway Wesley went home. Suede kept his model. Its a night out on the town with Tim Gunn. The designers put on their rain ponchos & take a ride with Tim on a double-decker bus. They must create an outfit inspired by NYC at night. They made 4 stops-Columbus Circle, Times Square, The NY Public Library & Greenwich Village. The next AM they had 30 mins to choose a photo & $100 to spend on fabric at Mood. They will have until 1am to compete it and the winner gets immunity for the next challenge. Judges-Michael Kors, Nina Garcia & Sandra Bernhard. Top & Bottom 6-Keith, Kenley, Jennifer, Terri, Emily & Leanne. Why wasn't Jerell or Kelli in the top? Terri is in, The winner is Kenley, Leanne is in, Keith is in. Bottom 2-Jennifer for being cliche & Emily for being boring. Emily is out. Next week-we travel to the republic of cocktail land.

i think jerrel didn't make it in to the top because it was more of an dress you'd wear to a big event rather than a night out on the town like they said, I can't picture someone walking down the sidewalk in that. I honestly though Joes should have been in the top.

The online "rate the runway" at Bravo's website has Leanne winning. As well she ought to have. Kenley is doing so well, I'm almost positive, because of her own personal look.

Jerrell's dress is also doing well in the voting. It would appear the viewers have better taste than the judges.

And Sandra Bernhardt? In what universe is she a fashion icon these days? I'm not surprised something dated and unattractive on the model won. (I love SB's humor but her fashion sense not so much...)
