As someone mentioned on this epsiode, it's a shame Ms Shaprio didn't become all that well known here in the US. With her awesome talent, I'm positive she could have become one of the biggest stars of pop music over here. Like Brenda Lee, she was a teenage star with a tremendous voice (they even shared the same bouffount hair style). Amazing talent for one so young. Thanks for sharing this heartwarming episode for us to enjoy! :)
I was a big fan of Helen & her wonderful voice and bubbliness. She is a very genuine, kind person. She was born 3 weeks before me in 46.. When I saw her recently she gave me a lovely little prayer book. She is so kind & a brilliant pop, musical theatre, jazz, blues and gospel singer. I used to sing "Dont treat me..." along with her, but could never sing it like her. I love you Helen - you gave me so much joy as a teenager! My favourite girl singer. Your voice is amazing! Keep on-we are soon 63!
