I unbox my new Dewalt 18vdc half inch screw gun. Normally they sell for $200 but I found them on sale at ACE Hardware for $99. Two batteries, charger and carrying case included. Hurry down there and pick one up for yourself.

  • Earlier this year, I traded an old car that's been sitting in my yard for 4 years for a used 18-volt DeWalt cordless drill and an impact wrench, 3 batteries, charger and the big leather case to carry it all in. The drill is a 3/8th inch, but the impact wrench is a 1/2 inch. My neighbor wanted the old car to fix up for his daughter, and he'd been watching me use a 4-way lug wrench to raise and lower the scissor jacks on my camper. The drill is great, but the impact wrench is fantastic. Merry Xmas

  • @noozguy Wow! Sounds like you both made out.

  • I've been shopping at Ace for years, but I tend to lean toward Home Depot because it's closer and quicker. I've just plain worn out my good old 18V cordless "noname," and I've drooled over the DeWalts, but no friggin' way at $200. Not leaving the house at all tomorrow (self preservation), but I'll be hitting Ace on Monday. I hope my local one has it, because that's a steal.

  • @anmoose That's what I've been saying all along. I love it but not $200 worth.

  • I love dewalt tools, but sadly I dont think it will last as long as your makita.

  • @nintendolunchbox Probably not. Im keeping the Makita as a back up.

  • @mobiltec Your right its a better deal to buy a new drill than replace one battery. and thanks for asking about my absence. well we had a real bad year in 2011, we lost a grandson that lived in California. and then Kathys grandmother in Canada ( she raised kathy from age 4 ) had a stroke and Kathy spent 4 months up there. and is leaving to go back up on the 4th of Jan. But we are planning to get back out on the road this year. Hopefully we will be in you'r neck of the woods.. Thanks Friend.

  • Don't forget to fill out the warranty if it came with one....i got the same drill and also the impact Dewalt with chargers for that price a year ago at home depot.........For 99 dollars that is a hell of a steal! also a lot of stores will match or beat other store prices....... AWESOME LARRY YOU DESERVE THAT DRILL!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @NotSoOldHippy,

You been hanging out with Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor again?

I don't think DeWalt makes chain saws. LOL

  • @SarahsAdventures Finally... Been waiting long enough for them to come down in price.
