Careful with those twisty ties... They have metal inside them usually
-
get some clamps for those barbed fittings
-
always use nylon, glass, acrylic, or something along those lines that will not corrode...especially with saltwater applications.
-
forget the instructions dude. research overflow and sump operation and design your own plan for your specific use.
-
I like the clear tubing from HD better, as you can see the water/air flow.

eat something already, you're making me hungry...

hey were did u get the instructions to this? i want to make a sump even if i dont start a salt water tank
instead of limiting your return pump witch is already to small to begin with just make a bigger drain go to 1 inch

Problem I was having is the 2 tubes in the overflow box. They were both working at about 40%. Now I just have 1 and its always filled with water coming from the tank. No need to regulator on the return now. If anything, I may need a higher GPH pump. No biggie though.

what kiind of equipment are u using for sump dude?

All I used for the sump was a 10 gallon tank I had laying around. As I said in the video I picked up a plastic container from Target to place my rock rubble in. Thing of upgrading to a 20 for the sump though.
