Rubicant was an honorable villain, he had nothing to do with turning Edge's parents into those monsters or making Edge fight them, that was all Dr. Lugae's fault, watch this scene, Rubicant even says it was that crazy Lugae's fault. Rubicant is honorable, well mannered, and well spoken, and he even restores your HP, give him some respect.
