A tune written by Charlie Byrd for Felix Grant, a Washington D.C. disc jockey who supported Charlie's work. Performed on my beautiful Carvin Mahogany Carved Top - CT3M.

  • I grew up in the DC area in the mid sixties and remember Felix and his program ....

"Your'e listening to Felix Grant with the Album Sound til midnight"

Thanks for the memories and great playing too.

  • Now, I want a guitar like this!

A pleasure to listen to that...

  • Very nice. I enjoy your playing.

  • Many thanks to Byrdmanguitar for posting this. Felix was my friend. I was honored to sponser his last two programs on WMAL at the conclusion of a 30 year run. Chris Core reminded us that Felix always wore a coat and tie for his broadcast out of respect for his audience. He brought the "Bosa Nova" to Ameica, as well as music throughout the world. Rest In Peace my dear friend, Felix. You are with Minako Honda as she sings to you "Amazing Grace" because you are that Amazing Grace...michael

  • I'm a native DC'er, and I heard Felix Grant on the radio for years - first through my father, then on my own. Mr. Grant was a wonderful, urbane gentleman who introduced so much great jazz, from around the world to my world. And I heard he was a champion for musicians like Mr. Byrd. God Bless Felix, Mr. Byrd - and all jazz music and musicians.

  • Very nice Joseph - I've had this sheet music since 1966 and could never really master it like you have. - Gary
