Drawing Process: Inner Senshi

OK here's a real time drawing 4x sped up. Again this video showcases the method in use, if you've watched the outer senshi video, you can immediately tell that this drawing of the inner senshi is WAY better. i did have complications, but that's because i was getting restless and bored with the drawing(i know, after 30 minutes and i 'm already bored with it), so i started getting careless and not inking it with the utmost precision that i should have been, i just wanted to get it done and over with =)

Again, if you're an apt digital colorer and you'd like to initiate a collaboration piece, let me know and i'll scan the image and send it to you. Of course you'd prolly have to touch up the lines cuz im sick of it already =D, and yeah we'll post up the finished piece on our DeviantArt page or something.

now that i look at it again, being sped up 4x, my hand moves FREAKISHLY fast...it kinda scary...any just in case some of you guys are wondering, i don't make up the poses right then and there, i make a pose outline beforehand so i know how they're gunna be posing. After i have that, THEN i start drawing. So i use my own pose sketches as basic reference. Otherwise if i hadnt had some idea of what they're doing, the entire time drawing this woulda been like 2 hours instead of 45 minutes. =)

and sorry if my hair gets in the way...sometimes i forget how close the camera is =P

it's just a regular office pen, nothing fancy. you dont need a fancy pen to make good artwork =)

but if you insist, it's a Pilot: Precise V5 rolling ball pen in extra fine.

anyways...can you tell me wut kind of pen you use to ink your drawings? i've tried so many and they all mess up my artwork :(

it's not any fancy art pen...it's just a regular Pilot: Precise Rolling Ball V5 in extra fine =p

When you say mess up, do you mean smearing or ink blotches? chances are..every pen has their bad points, you just need t learn to manipulate them. the pen i'm using isnt even a good pen, if you were to look at this picture scanned and up close...you'd see so many mistakes and unsmooth lines =p

You seem to hate a lot of the work you do, but you should try being proud of it and rather than looking at the flaws, look at the best parts and just tell yourself that you'll try harder and harder until you're content.
