I was filming that day, but for the first time in my "career" I stopped and listened to pure beauty in music. I've since listened to more music by Mr Oryema with "his band", but alone he simple makes me stop.

Although he was "extremely nervous" because "his band's not here," I would consider it a large bit of serendipity that he was forced to perform with "one voice, one guitar." Every song in which Oreyma's arrangement is mostly acoustic is a song I call a "favorite" - by a country mile (or ten). He's at his best without the diffusion and distraction of "pop" and "rock" instrumentation. Such a voice! Such a sense of dynamics and expression! The rock and pop stuff just conceals his beauty.
