The reason you got 10,000 hits was because you have the word shrink in the title and youtube picked your foot tapping for the icon.

If artistic means monotonous then you nailed it.

what is it ?

Wow! Fascinating! WTF? Wasted my time - three times! 6:18 of my life I'll never get back.

This seems to be an arty visualisation of copyright infringement...uh...

I liked the video simply because it was different. It really didn't need to have a point if looking at it from an artistic point of view. I liked your nikes in this video too :)

Maybe someday down the line I will try to re-edit this or make a better version. That was why I called it experimental. It was an experiment to create it and an experiment for responses. Thanks for showing some interest, I can't believe the video has as many hits/responses as it does in the first place.

In all honesty, this project is not one of my favorites, and I really didn't even try to put much effort into it. I don't really care about salvaging it because my mind is on bigger and better work. I did start out with the intent to make a film about DVD pirating though. The only reason I put it up on YouTube was to see what types of responses it would get, I would NEVER put this in my professional demo reel. I appreciate the constructive criticism, it helps me see where I could improve.
Interesting choice for a topic but it's never clear what message you're trying to get accross. There's no real protagonist, no story arch, what's the point? Not to mention the over-repetitive footage. This can be trimmed down WAY more, in fact it really needs to be shortened.

"There's no real protagonist, no story arch..." - so what, does every film need that? certainly not, it's art, art breaks conventions sometimes
"what's the point?" - to bother people, that's why its experimental i guess
"...over-repetitive, can be trimmed, needs to be shortened..." - good, the film did it's job and bothered someone, watch some old b&w experimental films, you'll see they have repetitive footage in them quite a bit
~~constructive criticism always welcome~~
