And it is estimated that there are hundreds of billions of galaxies. Hubble Ultra Deep Field captured an image with about 10,000 galaxies visible just in one picture. Makes me wish I had a ship with an FTL drive.

@MrFlyingscotsman1 I understand the ships were damaged, but totally destroy them? I know they were weary and tired of running, but much was salvageable. And finding another planet that looked like earth, very plausible. It's mind boggling to think how big space is. There are up to 2500 stars visible to the naked eye at any given point on our earth, 5800 to 8800 total visible (telescope). Astronomers estimate 200 billion to 400 billion stars just in our Milky Way.

@ComanderSev I dont think they found real earth. What they found was another planet looked like earth that was colonized by cylons and was nuked by war (i think reference to real earth), then they found another planet that looked like earth millions of years ago when man started to evolve. I COULD BE WRONG.
