  • I wish my Jindo loved water like that! He is absolutely petrified when we water the garden and hides in his doghouse.

  • Mike's father is just like that too, whenever we get out the hose, he's nowhere to be found. hehe

  • This is like saying every single Korean person has an affinity for spicy food. Not only is this an incredibly stupid assumption, but its also not true. Not all purebred dogs are perfect models of their breed standard. A Jindo dog can like water and still be purebred because not every dog is the same, just as not all people are the same.

  • Mine did too. In fact every time I went to grab the hose, his ears would droop down and ran straight for his dog house.

    It was kinda funny though.

  • @SamCarnage Wow. Didn't know I was making comments in the space of a Master. My Jindo (straight from Korea) hates water just like most do. That's my observation.

  • @coffeehugger The absurdity of this comment floors me. There are IMMENSE behavioral variations in dog breeds regardless of purity level due to the fact that behavior is influenced not only genetically but environmentally. As Jindos don't appear to be bred specifically to be the antithesis of the Lab when it comes to water sport it is not a definitive trait of the breed which is why it is NOT an indicator of breed purity. Provide me with scientific evidence and then I might humor you.

  • @SamCarnage Most jindos act the same because over breeding hasn't ruined them yet.

  • my black jindo dogs HATE water

they dont like the spray bottle!

    but they dont mind rain

    i wonder why...

  • @otacon451 - The Jindo is in fact a purebred dog. It is among one of the oldest dog breeds in the world and is believed to be the predecessor of many Japanese spitz breeds excluding the Kai Ken if memory serves. Considering Jindo Island is well.. an ISLAND, this implies isolation from other breeds, allowing the Jindo breed to develop on its own.

Additionally, there is a breed standard for the Jindo. Most Jindos share common characteristics thereby making it a breed. Stop being stupid please.

  • @SamCarnage there is no such thing as a jindo breed. the jindo is not a purebred dog.

  • Does your dog lie to roll in dirt and dirty himself?haha. My jindo loved that.:'(

  • wow my jindo loves wayer

  • my dog knows when his about to take a bath..haha..and yeah. my jindo hates water..lol
