Smatchet Short Sword. Handmade, Designed off the Style Used by the British & American Special Forces Word War II Smatchet. Demo of its Slicing Power! History & WWII Fight Scenes. Made by Scorpion Swords & Knives, LLC. Web Site: http://TraditionalArcheryBows.com. See up close pictures of the sword at all angles. See our Website for details on our knife and sword making techniques: normalizing, heat treatment, hardness testing, and more. The Smatchet was used by British and American special forces (Special Air Service and Office of Strategic Services, respectively) during World War II. Designed as a pure combat weapon. The psychological reaction of any man, when he first takes the smatchet in his hand is full justification for its recommendation as a fighting weapon. He will immediately register all the essential qualities of a good fighter - confidence, determination, and aggressiveness. Its balance, weight and killing power, with the point and edge, combined with the extremely simple training necessary to become efficient in its use, make it the ideal personal weapon.

  • Blade is 10" and 3 " wide. You can see more info on it of my website. It's not really a survival knife. Its more of a fighting knife. Thanks,

  • The psychological reaction of me to watching this video is I WANT ONE.

  • @50pushups And one of them wants you LOL. Thank you.

  • amazing work on the blade! what steel did you use? I'm curious about the balance of the blade, where is it?

Thank you for uploding this great video, and I really like your channel!

    Best regards

  • @LANDnLIFE Thank you. The blade is 3/16 5160 steel. The balance is right about where the back of the leaf shape starts to come in. About an inch or inch and 1/2 above the handle. A little top heavy.

  • Badass. Could it chop off a limb i wonder.

  • @burzum6man Thanks. I suppose so, but I don't recommend you trying :)

  • great design .. it remembers me a roman pugio

  • thats a nazi killing machine right there

  • do you think that this would be a good bush knife as a 1 tool option? and how wide is the blade at its widest? and how long is the blade and the handle?

    by the way, nice work!

  • Definitely not made to Fairbairn's specifications, but looks nice regardless.

  • Seeing as how it has a double edged blade and is a bit on the small side (for a short sword), wouldn't that make it a Dagger?

  • @50pushups i want this about 3 feet long

  • bollix
