  • Hee Il Cho is probably the deadliest taewkondo person I've seen here on youtube. I read that he has also taken two years of boxing. I can see the boxing influence in his style. The jab, hooks, combos, and blocks. I also like the ridge hand strike and the kicks from taekwondo. It looks almost identical to karate. His breaking videos and conditioning videos are impressive. Every taekwondo practicioner should try to be more like him. I gave this video a thumb up!

  • He is 67 years old... so STFU with all that negativism... I am not even training TWD... but it is still amazing to watch him do all that...

  • @MrSHAJW Potatoes?? man that is scarey!! I think thats a little too much for me. I like hand conditioning but whats the point you know to go that far with it? but you have to give this guy respect he will kill you. I wish he would have fought in his life though and did martial arts matches. It would have been good so he could have actually used those gnarly hands on someone.

  • @MaharlikaAWA Maybe he was just carrying an injury at the time?but he was struggling, his hands were like fossilized potatoes ! I mean no disrespect by my comments, his ridge-hand destruction techniques were frightening to see up close.

  • @MrSHAJW He could barely hold a pen? Thats not good. When i read some of his stuff he said that he has conditioned his hands a lot and has NEVER had any problems with arthritis or anything like that. Weird.

  • He was my master for a summer, really nice guy, wish I could have stayed in Hawaii for a little longer so he could teach me more.

  • I have memories of meeting Master Cho at a few Battle of Atlanta tournaments. He has always been one of my greatest inspirations. I remember he used to have a contract with a heavy bag company. Reason why is he used to split the bags a lot with his deadly kicks. Thank you Master Cho for all that you have done for the Martial Arts community. May you live to be as old as those that came before you.

  • This instructor held a seminar for ITF in Newcastle (England) about 20yrs ago and he was the first TKD practitioner I'd met who really went for the 'power-over-form' ethos (not like todays TKD franchises).

He was so gnarly , he had conditioned his hands so brutally that he could barely hold a pen properly to sign an autograph !

He's very dedicated, very committed...just like every strike he showed us.

  • I bought his book when I did Tae Kwon Do. " The Complete Martial Arts ", and thats where I learned the "twio palyo chagi ", the chopper kick, jumping back spinning twist kick.

  • I use to have some of his books they were real good i would love to see most other people his age move like that most 67 year old's cant even hardly move.

  • I use to have some of his books they were real good.
