Classic. Arthur Hamilton 1953. More expertly sung by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Julie London, to name but two. It was originally written for Ella to sing in 1955's "Pete Kelly's Blues", but the song was dropped. Instead it appeared in the 1956 film "The Girl Can't Help It". Good stuff.
(If a person were to sing all the words, they are as follows. I just this minute realized I left out a whole little verselet when I was singing. Ooops.)
Now you say you love me,
You cried the whole night through.
Well you can cry me a river,
Cry me a river,
I cried a river over you.
Now you say your sorry,
For bein' so untrue.
Well you can cry me a river,
Cry me a river,
I cried a river over you.
You drove me, nearly drove me,
Out of my head;
While you never shed a tear.
Remember, I remember,
All that you said;
You told me love was too plebian,
Told me you were through with me-
And Now you say you love me,
Well, just to prove you do, cry me a river,
Cry me a river,
I cried a river over you
What a magnificent voice!!!

The Julie London version was incredibly sultry--and you did a great job with it as well!
