Ice Age Trail - Marathon County

Hiking along the trail from Hatley to Dells of the Eau Claire County Park.

This segment of the trail has lots of well placed markers. It also has benches and foot bridges all along the path thanks in part to boy scout projects. It goes through public and private land and along the road. I met three volunteers that were maintaining the trail. We had such a nice conversation that I forgot I had a video camera with me. I did get a still shot of them and will link to that plus other pictures once they are up.

I try to just do section of the IAT that are in the national forests. I hate walking on the roads, and being passed by ATV's. I am gonna try and knock out all of the Chequamegon National Forest trail next week. going 23f-21f
