@audiocable On the bright side, the release of a new card makes the old cards cheaper. So buy the older card and get good enough performance. I would say to never buy nVidia's newest cards because, simply, no game lives up to the power it can release. My 470 GTX is still rocking every game on the market right now without a single problem.

@maxadams03 lol not the type of tech guy? i was a computer technician for 5 years so i know a thing or 2, and im not here to hate on video cards and technology, its the fact that they make these things so obsolete so fast, and the prices on them are ridiculous
-
@maxadams03 how would u know i live paycheck to paycheck? besides i dont mean the nerds that cotribute to society by inventing things, i mean the ones that live in the basement and play WOW all day, with nothing more then a highschool diploma. seems like i offended you, must be because ur one of those "nerds"
-
@audiocable same with consoles.
-
@paucarre well yhea they engineers need to get paid, but making a card obsolete so often is a waste of money
-
@audiocable These cards are expensive because their cost is very high. The materials are cheap but fabrication is expensive and it is even more expensive the electronic engineers involved in the design and fabrication of chips.
I don't know any hadcore gamer who buys a card every 6 months, at most they buy a new card each year. And if you spend 30% of you spare time gaming I think it is a good investment.
-
@audiocable Those aren't facts. The products they sell aren't overpriced, because there isnt anything lower priced than it in the first place. Another thing, the life span of most electronic products (CPU's, GPU's, etc) is WAY over 6 months, its around 2 years. The only way it would be 6 months, is if it was an Apple product, get me?

@Mattan360 yeah i know about monitors and tvs.. but FYI a 27" or 30" has a higher native resolution than a 22-24" so i would have liked to (a year ago) see how it performs on a bigger monitor but now this doesnt matter anymore since the GTX500 series are out
like everything else, all the nerds will dump their paychecks into this card, than use their next paycheck in another 6 months to buy a new more faster card and they cycle continues, these things are way too fucking overpriced, i mean 250 to 1 grand for a video card made of 2 dollars worth of plastic and silicon sold for 3 months worth of food money just to be obsolete 6 months later.

You trolls need to shut the fuck up.
Without nerds, like me:
1. No Facebook
2. No Cell Phones
3. No Interwebz
4. No computers
5. No laptops
Got it?
