I'll try to transcribe what I can -

JM - It's excellent. I did say I'm making progress. If you guys can get on Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight ... I would think about it ... I'm very impressed with what you guys have done ... If you can do that, I'll bring him back for at least two episodes in the back half of season 4.

There's a little more in there, but between the pouring rain and all the voices mixed in, I didn't get much else, either.

What a lot of fans forgot is that they had already said they were bringing back Carson in one form or another before he made this deal. Hah.

Not true. This was in March - they'd said nothing at that point. They did later admit that they had created a backup plan to bring him back, like any group of good writers would do, but didn't suspect that the outcry would prompt them to use it.

@scottyIIhotty What's REALLY funny is that Joe has always been the producer that has been frank and honest with the fans, and always on hand to answer questions, yet he's the one some of these delicate little flowers seem to hate the most...

thankyou so much. Update..if you go to Joe's blog someone has linked a video of the back end of season 4 promotion. You see a snippet of Carson saying "What took you so long". Joe kept his promise!
