Motorola RAZR and RAZR HD are "Splash Resistant" I just wanted to see what would happen if I quickly dropped it into water. Still works today. This phone is NOT waterproof. I would not recommend trying it. Over all, great phone.

To those other questions. Yes, all of the RAZR family is "Splash Resistant" Not Water Proof! I just wanted to see if it could handle a small, quick submersion! And almost a year later. Works like NEW! Actually, I think a couple of other Motorola devices have the same nano coating. You'll have to go to Motorola website to check on that.

I did this almost one year ago! And I accidentally dropped it in a hot tub 2 months ago. Works Great! Everything is Nano coated inside the phone. It's sealed. RAZR is a great device to have.

Thank you guys! A bowl of "Dry rice" for 24 hrs will pull all moisture out of the phone. It works well.

I dropped my Razr HD on a swimming pool by accident, when I took it out it was still working except the touchscreen was not responding. I took it to Motorola and after a week of having it they said to me that it was unfixable and not useful anymore but when I turned it on everything was working fine except for the Accelerometer and the Gyroscope. I guess when they opened it up, the screen dried from inside.

Just dropped mine in the toilet (on accident though) and it stopped working. Don't try this out for yourself. We'll see if the old bag of rice trick can bring it back.
