History isn't a scientific discipline, but science does give a lot of insight into history. History is just a recollection of events, either way. Science doesn't have to prove or disprove anything "super"natural, as science is fundamentally naturalistic, there IS nothing supernatural in science. As for the last one, it explains quite well how we came to exist, how stars are born, how planets are born, how heavy elements are created. It can't explain why the universe is here YET, key word
Science is very limited. In addition to what Dr. Craig mentioned, I would add that science can't prove history; it can't prove or disprove supernatural events; it can't prove or even legitimately explain how anything exists.
The human perception of beauty and morality can indeed be explained by science through study of the brain and it's chemistry. Also, Craig is being dishonest with his last point about the Theory of Relativity. Although he is right about not being capable of directly observing light going at a constant from A to B, we can make many different predictions about what would happen if that were the case, and verify them, this is how we know it's true.
I'd rather read the Bible, rather than getting into skeptic arguments about whether or not something exists. Just have faith! There will be a payoff in heaven.
I'm a Christian so I say this out of love. That is totally ignorant. God doesn't call us to duck our heads in the sand like ostriches when we are faced with difficult passages, questions, and challenges from non-believers. We have to be willing to hear the other side and the arguments in which non-believers bring.
The Bible says to "proclaim to every creature the gospel". But it does say not to be part of any arguments. Paul said that these arguments amount to nothing and have no value. I just tell people what Jesus Christ has done for me and leave it at that. Also let the non-Believer get the last word!
Your first sentence is Mark 16:15 KJV, but I don't know where you're getting the quote for your second sentence.
It's not about what Jesus did for you brother. It's what He did for mankind. Also, I'm curious as to why you would want the non-believer to get the last word.
"But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence" 1 Peter 3:15
