  • Mr. Hess. I have serious reservations about you being a man of God. Separation from the community? Is that what Jesus would say Reverend?

The idea that sexually abused children go on to become abusers says a lot about this society.

Ask yourselves why you can have compassion for a victim, unless he becomes an abuser. Is your heart really in the right place, or are these opinions just a tool to be favored in the public and political eye?

  • I think you have me confused with Rev. Hein. David Hess

  • Rev. Hein? Your lack of information makes you come across as arrogant. Your compassion for "saving the children" is shaky at best.

  • That rev looks like some kind of sex freak to me, something about him. He is definately suspect. I would not let my children be alone with them, creepy.

  • In addition, Rev. Hein is so ill-informed about treatment for adult offenders. Someone should direct him to the sexoffenderhelp web site or the same moniker on You Tube.

  • Law is not a "representation of people's values" Rev. Hein. These laws are a representation of people's moral panic. I can't BELIEVE this priest's voice is one which ill-informed people are listening to. And WHAT sex offenses are we talking about??? Which ones exactly? Level 1, Level 2? Level 3? Does ANY average citizen know what crimes constitute these levels? I wager not. People say sex offense and think immediately of serial rapists. The range of offenders is far wider than that.

  • this priest could be a pedophile.

  • @iaqqms ALL ARE CAPABLE OF COMMITING THES "CRIMES" WE GOT TO REALIZE WE ARE ALL HUMAN , WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES , SEX OR NO SEX,, SEX ISNT THE ONLY ABUSE, AS THIS LAW WOULD MAKE IT SEEM!

  • CONSENSUAL SEX WITH ANYONE IS NOT A CRIME! ITS A POOR EXAMPLE TO SLEEP WITH MINORS RATHER THAN MENTOR AND TEACH ABSTENANCE,, BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE MADE A CRIME! RAPE IS A CRIME BY ALL MEANS! REGARDLESS THE AGE!

  • I feel sorry for this priest idiot. All laws are a responce to political fear. He is using stats from preditors not the 80-90% of sex offenders he needs to stop saying sex offender then the public can deal with the true risk to the community.

  • The sex registry is a joke. Only a small percent of registered offenders are deemed dangerous by the judicial system. A huge bulk of them are consensual, statutory cases , even 19 year olds with 16 year olds. Its all overblown, media hysteria. The cops need to start monitoring the real pedophiles and quit harrasing people who simply broke a law. Was Elvis a sex offender for marrying Priscilla at 14? Was he a public threat? I think not!! Grow up America,Europe is way more progressive
