Season 3 episode 6. When Starsky's childhood friend is found dead in a sleazy hotel, the detectives are shocked to discover that the murdered lieutenant was a closet homosexual.
The writers were really in tune with what was going on in the world...The gay thing in all fairness was huge in the 70's and they just couldn't ignore that I'm sure. With all the sensitive "subject matter" that "Starsky and Hutch" tackled, it's only fitting that the writers come up with a story line concerning such a thing (they were considered a major subculture of people) who the rest of us were trying to understand. The fact that it was a cop was even better.
Man I love the theme music, to Starsky and Hutch, it gets me all excited and ready to watch the episode. In fact Don't ya just miss "theme songs"from 70's and 80's t.v. shows?...it help set the tone for a pleasant hour or half hour of a good drama, or comedy.
in the middle of the street from heat at the start of the story there is no immediate traffiic behind the car. But when the shot changes to a closer one with starksy & Hutch getting out, there is suddenly a queue of traffic honking behind...
