The Spring 2010 collection fuses Banana Republic's utilitarian heritage with a sense of buoyant ease. This mood of understated ease is exemplified in the blues. The natural tints that grace denim, chambray and cotton span the color spectrum: hues are borrowed from faded azure skies, cornflower blue and Jasper Johns' deep, familiar indigo.
Effortless chino mirrors this unencumbered perspective and limitless versatility. An integral part of the Banana Republic legacy, the iconic safari material resurfaces in new variations that are just as fluid and easy as the original: new color gradients-ranging from stone, wheat and putty-complement both cool neutrals and warm, sun-kissed shades.

love this, i work for BR and we're just pumping out those chinos. everyone really likes this collection it seems. i get so many comments from customers who are very pleased BR has kind of gone back to their "classic roots". you still have that chic feel with these clothes, but they're definitely more on the urban/safari vibe that made people love BR in the first place. :)
