i found foam like these in our local department store but they were blue and cost about 300 pesos or like six dollars. i think their used as bed foams but look exactly like that. will these make any difference?

@XxZiphRaxX Anything that is soft with irregular shapes is going to help soak up reflections. On necessary if you are recording though. A~

what is that foam actually for Andy?

@domeee11 It absorbs sound to make it echo and I think it also stops loud noise going out the room. I tried making some with egg cartons when i was a kid lol.

@TelevisionPotato acoustic foam only stops the echo, to stop sound getting out you need sound insulation which is a different thing, generally placed inside the walls. A~

@domeee11 it stops sound from bouncing back and worth between the walls. The harder and flatter surfaces are in a room the more it will echo. Try clapping in your bathroom or kitchen then compare that to a carpeted room that lots of objects in it. If you deaden the acoustics in the room stopping the echo you have better control over your recorded sound. A~
