This is a cover of Jacob's Ladder, from the 1980 album, Permanent Waves. It was made by the co-ordinated effort of four musicians spread over four different countries and two continents, Canada, The Netherlands, the UK and the USA. Although we realise we will never be able to completely emulate the fantastic music produced by the source of our inspiration (Rush), we sincerely hope you enjoy our cover and that it also inspires you to go out and buy the CD and/or pick up an instrument and learn the song for yourself. Anyone who is inspired by this video, please leave a comment and let the world know. Many thanks for taking the time to read this short notice. Please feel free to visit our YouTube channel by clicking on the VirtuallyRush name, and from there to visit our individual channels for more great videos related to instruction on how to play the individual instrument parts for many songs.

  • I was thinking while listening to this that if someone had said to me back in 70s when I was a 16 year old rocking to 2112, "someday people will pay tribute to Rush by playing and sharing Rush music over a worldwide computer network", I would have thought they were crazy, but I would have hoped they were right ... Beautiful work. You do yourselves and Rush proud.

  • You guys continue to raise the bar and set the standards to which --in my opinion--all virtual bands should aspire to.

You took the time to make it right, and there is lot to be said for that. Not everyone can pull it off, the musicianship and tools required to make it as close to the original as possible are formidable.

Once again you have honored Rush in the highest form possible, and did an outstanding job. You diligence and patience was rewarded--well done!
