'Hope' for abused women in Dubai - 10 11 07

Dubai is rapidly becoming one of the most popular destinations in the Middle East, and a booming economic centre in the Gulf.

But some of those who've come to live in the emirate have become victims of domestic violence, and found few places to turn to for help.

Now one woman has founded a shelter for abused women, turning Dubai into a "City of Hope".

Thank you for supporting those who were in an abusive atmosphere and creating hope for those who continue to be in the same situation. This abuse is not a rare occurence and a widespread issue all over the middle east. Just go to youtube and search for "maid abuses in the middle east" and you know this is not just a rare occurence.
