What bass amp are using?
And wich model rickenbacker are you using?
-
@variousthings I don't think it's meant to be tongue-in-cheek at all.

Hi Daniel,
Your folk tone sounds better than the original!
You're definitly the best.
Kisses from France,
Philippe
PS: Would you try a es-335 jazz pop song a day?

Like this one a lot.
A really fine velvet like finsh to the overall sound, makes the whole very very enjoiable.

Inspired. Better than the original, as others have said. :)

This is fantastic. I also like that you're making your own arrangement instead of a lot of other "covers" on youtube that I would rather call "my best shot at trying to sound exactly like the original song".

Well, I have to say that I wasn't expecting you to ever cover an Oasis song - even in as tongue-in-cheek a fashion as this! (Those vocals remind me of Apeman by The Kinks...)

Your voice suits this to a t :)
Shit man, I was NOT expecting you to cover this one! I remember how Noel was saying something about how the song was created, like it was originally supposed to be a folk-y sort of thing until he got pissed off at something (probably his Neanderthal of a younger brother) and the end result came out. Adding the banjo and the LONG bereft sound of the mandolin definitely (maybe) brought the folk element back into the song. Great job.
