  • this was totally magical indeed and nothing is more appropriate than Esti's words : the very second she gets into the scene, everything becomes real.

  • @RAATCC36 Yes the ladies behind her sing the words of the quando m'en vo', it was staged that way.. she is kind of a celebrity in that staging so I think it was intended that way!

  • Wow, that's totallya shame about the lady behind her mouthing the words. I wonder if it was staged that way for some reason. Weird. Anyway it toally detracts from Natalie. Anyways, Dessay sounds great as usual : )

  • What is with the ladies in the back mouthing the words?

  • I love Boheme`. Could someone tell me WHAT THE PHUQUE IS GOING ON HERE??

  • she's not the best but she's still a wonderful singer...I wouldn't chance my nickname to just "DessaySinger"...and I can't change it

  • Not than I am a big fan of Callas (at least not in everything and certainly not in musetta), but you should check on youtube the Juilliard Master Class Callas give about the role! She just understood the libretto, the score, the role perfectly. And since Dessay is such a fan she should have checked it out too. LOOOL. You could still change your nickname you know.... Take off "best". Thanks for the link to Esti's blog btw...

  • I thought on the contrary that the fact that is was more "travaillée" was a good thing...she was really really a great Musetta in my opinion!!
