    Yes, Hiroshi Hase defeated Tiger Jeet Singh in a Ganryujima Island Death Match in the early 1990s (and by doing so, Hase won the right to be the first to face Antonio Inoki in Inoki's Final Countdown series of matches)

    The same island Onita had the Jungle Deathmatch with Singh in 92. Paying a subtle tribute to Inoki with that I guess
