Rick Salutin was our guest as we kicked off the Impossible Ideas series as part of the Hacking Reality program at the Academy of the Impossible. We spoke of the revolts of the late sixties and early seventies, the fights against free trade in the eighties, globalization in the nineties, and the popular uprisings of 2011. We looked at the influence media and technology have upon these events, and what we think may be in store for 2012.

The woman talking at the one hour mark is especially good. She's been covering protests for a long time and like the other members of this crew, she brings a sense of the continuum that the Occupy movement is an on-going part of.
