ahhhh...Im a Catholic,,,and I dont know what you mean by "at last" we have been telling the world the exact same things for nearly 2000 years....you make it sound like you just brought the revelation to the world lol
Wow what utter crap. Anyone can look these up and see they are wrong. Isaiah 7:14 "-his name Immanuel". No know one knows of Jesus birth place. It was never written until 400 years after he died. John 12:13-15 makes it clear that Zec 9:9 was a self fulfilled prophecy. Zec 11:12 meet Zec 11:13 "And the LORD said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—the handsome price at which they valued me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at the house of the LORD."
I have no doubt Jesus is who the Gospel tell us he was and that the bible is the inspired word of God and a historical fact. I have study the bible from so many angles and unlike some that probably have tried reading it them selves and couldn't understand it and than proclaim it is fill of holes, it simply isn't and to look at how it came about, there are no men, from yesterday, today or tomorrow capable of making such a book happen. I look at other supposedly holy books and none compare!
It is rather frustrating for Jews whose scriptures have been taken on by another faith, changed, and then, historically, used by Christianity to ‘prove’ that Jews are ‘wrong’ and that Jesus is ‘foreshadowed’ in the Jewish scriptures!
*Some* Christians argue that they understand the Jewish texts better than Jews themselves. Yet Jews study the Tanakh, for the most part, in the original Hebrew. Most Christians study the OT, which is a translation OF a translation OF the Tanakh.
@7F0X7 You have strongs concordance that gives meaning to isaiah scriptures mistranslated and misinterpreted right from the get go when Christian translators translated from Hebrew to Greek and then to English. Even in your own NT, translated only from Koine Greek to English, 12 verses have been added to Mark and Matthew 28:19 has been interpolated into a trinity. I don't need to poke holes in it - they are already there. My private lifestyle is no less upright than yours.
@Matthew1944 I'm not going to argue with you anymore. I can read Strong's Concordance on those Isaiah scriptures and see that the original Hebrew words have to same meaning like anyone with a brain. The truth is that all you want to do is try and poke holes in it (whether they are valid points or not) so you won't have to feel convicted over your private life style. If you want to die and go to hell that badly then be my guest, but you're not going to diminish my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
@7F0X7 By original, I mean the Jewish Tanakh upon which your OT is based. Your quotes to me previously were from Isaiah which is in the Tanakh and the translation I gave you comes from it.
@7F0X7 2) Even now with the advent of the DSS, those fragments are identical to the present day Tanakh. The present day Christian bible isn't even the same as the Sinai bible which is also a Christian bible and is the oldest Christian bible today.
@7F0X7 In over 3000 years, the JEWISH Torah has the minor errors - NOT the Christian bible. And that is because God directed that not one word must be added or taken away from it, so the scribes counted the letters on each line, so precise was the copying. The original that I speak of is the Jewish Tanakh upon which your OT is loosely based.
