Amazingly, the male lead singer on this track is completed uncredited on the label (Dot 15943). The Fontanes are essentially his backup trio. Fortunately, we know it is Charlie Singleton, who is also the writer of this tune.

  • No connection. Margie was once the wife of Shelby Singleton, from when they both were with Mercury.

  • Marge of the Fontaine Sisters was not Shelby or Charkie Singletons wife at any time.

  • Love it!! What a different sound for them thanks to Charlie. Thanks for sharing.

  • good stuff wow i had no idea they were this good the fontaine sisters what a classic thanks!

  • Since this was the b-side of the Fontane's 45 "You Are My Sunshine" perhaps this was considered just another Fontane Sisters song and Charles was considered a background singer of sorts.

  • Was Charles wife Margie Singleton who also wrote and sang for the Dot label?
