@cookdandbombd - http://www.cookdandbombd.co.uk - A demo tape Chris Morris sent to Loose Ends. Sought after for many years, it finally turned up on the Wikipedia page of Victor Lewis-Smith, having been uploaded by someone at VLS' production company. It was under a section detailing similarities between CM and VLS, and accompanied by a very funny VLS Loose Ends bit ("Women's Trouble"). The uploader - whoever they could possibly be - had a point... Morris did indeed show a heavy VLS influence during some of his early work. Like every artist, Morris borrowed from those who inspired him early on - such as Kenny Everett and Vivian Stanshall - and used bits of their style, until he managed to truly develop his own, finally casting them aside like training wheels.
VLS deserves an awful lot more respect and recognition for the truly extraordinary comedy he created.

@cookdandbombd At last! I tried listening to the link via Wikipedia on VLS' page but it never worked. He sounds very, very similar to man from York Uni' on this. 'Imitation is the sincerest form of being an unoriginal theiving bastard' as the man himself once said. Thanks for uploading it.
