Most people don't know that the Persian Immortals didn't suffer that great of loss against the Spartans in Thermopylae. The Greek historian who wrote of the account was known to exaggerate many things in his stories, making it seem like each Spartan killed 4 quadrillion Persians. Sadly, most of us are taught the baised version in school which leads us to believe that the Spartans were a lot stronger than they actually were.

Biased fight! The Persian was useless on his own and ALWAYS fought in numbers! the Celt fought by himself and he would have been stronger,faster,fitter the Persian on the other hand was weak,not very fast and was hopeless on his own in this sort of situation!!

Persia was big, But not very impressive. The spartans were OBVIOUSLY more immortal than those guys.

The celts beat the Romans because they used GEURILLA TACTICS. In a 1-on1, it'd be interesting.
Persian Immortales were NOBLEMAN. They probably receive military training at an early age. And those wicker sheild are more durable than they look.
In conclusion, it'd be down to the skill of the individual.

@bloomy2293 I disagree. This fight is actuall kind of interesting.
The Immortales were Persian (maybe some allied too) nobleman. They would have been given military training at an early age. And that whicker sheild and armor is actuall more durable than it looks.
Of course, the celts were raised warriors toothiswouldbewhoevrissmartr

How the fuck did the Persians Wicker-Basket armor even protect him??

@bloomy2293 I am from the isle of man (extremely celtic) and i have to say, once seeing my mate being taken out by a cowardly bastard 'Immortal' arrow, i'd get the celtic blood up, whip out the sword and charge without fear of death at my enemy. If i died, i'd meet my mate, so what the hey. We should have won through sheer frightening effect anyway. Look at us. Mess with me, bitch?! :L

i totally agree...this video is fiction...

@bloomy2293 couldnt have agreed more
The Immortals weren't actually that terribly great. The only reason why they were called Immortals was due to the sheer size of the Persian Army and how easy it was to replace the fallen. The Celt should have won due to the fact that a Persian would've been used to fighting with fear (hence the infamous title Immortal). Against a Celt (who fights on a more primitive nature and shows virtually no fear) it would've been near impossible for the Persian to win.
