Glenn Beck - Why Socialism is Bad - Nov. 10, 2008

I've been asked why socialism is bad, and I think this pretty much answers it as well as it can be answered in a few minutes. As usual, Glenn Beck does a great job of getting to the heart of it.

For more detailed and in-depth answers, I recommend that folks read Ayn Rand, the author of "Atlas Shrugged" and a person that lived under socialism/communism.

Glen Beck doesn't know what Socialism means or Communism means. This man is totally off base for his rants. How do people believe this or follow him?

The first caller,you learned about politics and were made who you are from listening to glen beck. Fuck thats scary. Beck the reason the rest of the world isn't as generous is because they are busy is sweatshops making 2 cents and hour. You don't measure compassion with how much money you give moron. Beck you make all these moronic analogies that don't even make sense concerning the issue you are talking about. You try to plant fear into people,thats all. You are a thief. Burn in hell beck.

@dignerds The US has been a Capitalist country since it was founded and we have been successful all those years. The Soviet Union was a Socialist country that FELL because of it. The Cubans emigrated from their country because of their Socialist government. The Nazi Party was a Socialist party. All those European countries are socialist countries and if you read the news they are falling apart. People are protesting and rioting because of it.

i love socialism,how does snow removal,firefighters,garbage pick up,take away the individual?there are doctors,scientsts,teachers,all kinds of individuals in the governent.we should strive for a charitable government not an evil conservative gov.

@Bjjscorpion ha it doesn't matter if we're socialist or capitalist the power is never going to be in the people's hands. it's all for rthe rich and the one's with the assets. with capitalism the power is in the business owner's hands. sure capitalism gives us choices, but they're shitty choices leading nowhere.

@milimitten97 There not donating money like we are because their standard of living is so much lower they simply do not have the ability to give out money. And making two cents an hour in a sweatshop is far better than making half a cent an hour doing another job, or starving, because those two cents allow people to live better, not good according to our high standards, but better lives than they could otherwise.
