Charmin Charles' Haunted House - Vintage Walk-through haunted funhouse

This is a now abandoned walk through haunted house located in southern Kentucky in an area named Cave City. It is still standing, but closed to the public - it was in a bad state of disrepair when these pictures were taken back in 1993. It was a classic walk-through funhouse style attraction, and in it's heyday was probably pretty darn cool. I still found it awesome, even though it had obviously seen better days. As you worked your way through the house various props would spin around, light up, or pop up at you. Or at least they were supposed to - about half of them were no longer functioning. They charged us a dollar each to walk through as many times as we liked that day - and we had fun going through over and over. I'd love to buy that thing and restore it to it's former glory... but I'm afraid one of these trips through Kentucky I'll see it demolished. The haunted house is open now. A few friends and I stopped by there about a month ago on our way to HAuNTcon. It was really cool.

@drgangrene i think he had a moving mouth and a tape deck at one point too - called 'The Baron'. There was also a FunniFrite gorilla prop that I've seen a few times from pics - they so do not make em like this anymore. Charmin Charles at his piano as well - you really should buy it out and restore the place.

This has a lot of possibilities - it's a cool place but wasted with a lot of not at all scary stuff inside. Someone should redo the whole place and fill it with some seriously cool monsters!
