Season 4 Episode 23 Part 1

Hosted by Leonard Nimoy and broadcast weekly from 1976 to 1982, In Search Of... is the greatest mystery documentary show ever. I grew up watching this show, enjoying the spine-tingling presentation of quasi-fact and dramatic synthesizer-heavy music of Rinder and Lewis.

I am not selling this material, neither am I interested in buying bootlegs. It is currently commercially unavailable, so I am joining with others to make evaluation of this excellent series possible.

  • @hunternieuport It was determined that the bombs were dropped in the North Sea according to military records and eyewitness accounts.

  • A timed bomb on board, very simple, used also to finish off

    the Kennedy clan....

  • @whitren34 Did he tell you any cool stories?

(And I hope he didn't disappear WITH Glen Miller...)

  • Even though it was just before he was born, my father loved the Big Band Era and Glen Miller. If he had lived I wonder if that era would've lasted a little longer and if my father could've enjoyed it while it was still going on. Maybe not, but my father felt so out of place with the rock n' roll music of his generation.

  • I heard he got distracted while playing a 'rusty' trombone. Just one explanation, not necessarily the only one.

  • I read somewhere that Miller's plane was destroyed by ordinance dropped from an American bomber that was coming back to England, as unused bombs were dropped in the English Channel prior to landing.

  • My Dad flew in Glenn Miller's squardan when he disapperanced

  • Why? Because it was war.
