I'm from Michigan too. Living in the Pacific Northwest too. Graduated Shelby High School 1962 Worked aboard the Badger and her sisters from 67 to 72. I love to get back from time to time and see her. I hear they want to retire the old girl but I hope they never do. It's great to see these videos. I lived about a mile from Silver Lake. Now, Shelton, Washington

If gas prices continue to climb, it may go back to that! Isn't it awesome? I grew up watching more than one carferry leave Ludington each day. I'm so grateful there is still at least one running...

this is so nice! I love the sepia tones. !!
The music is beautifully evocative. Can you tell me which of Jeff Beal's songs you are using? Thanks.

Thank you. I should have mentioned that I am a Michigander now living in the Pacific Northwest. My favorite memories of that area take place on the Lake Michigan shoreline. I remember, in particular, wandering the dunes and trails in the state park just north of Ludington. The Pacific Northwest has much to offer but there's nothing to beat the Lake Michigan shore on a beautiful day.
