You've seen him on SNL, CNN, MTV, ABC, and everything else. But watch the very first feature done on him for ajc.com in March. (Ryon Horne)

  • If you lived in this area you'd be down w/ Bum Bot. The crime is out of control there. If ya don't wanna get sprayed then stay away from O'Terrils. If you see a turd in the road you go around it. You don't step in it. Common sense is the answer. If you hate BB then give him DDT or a flying clothesline...if you dare! :P

  • @harpo10 he's been held up at his bar multiple times. homeless or not you don't have the right to trespass and loiter. Just because you're homeless or a bum it gives you a right. If you only knew how much your property degrades by the people you attract and how much it could be worth you'd be saying otherwise. you obviously don't own a shop and don't have to worry about making it be a safe haven for people to come so you can make a living.

  • @WEVA111 it's put to use around his pub and the daycare.

  • man i live 2-3 blocks away from that place.... seems that it hasnt been put to use since exacty a block nortfh of oterrils, there is a massive "drug corner". seriously...at any given time, moreso at night, one can find "individuals" selling all sorts of things. Like 15-20 people at any given moment.

    true story

  • There's where your logic hits the wall. The mentally ill are in no capacity to choose anything. Illness is not a fault.

Now, I agree with you that having those people roaming the streets, doing what they like, is not good; neither for them nor for the neighbourhood. I even believe you have a right to keep them away from your property. It's not your fault they're ill. There should be shelters made for them.

But saying they deserve their fate and treating them like stray dogs seems inhuman to me.

  • Because they're mentally ill. They used to be called "bums," "vagrants." "hobos," etc. until the 1980s when they were lumped under the term "homeless" as if they had all lost their homes in a recent hurricane rather than having lived on the streets for years.

  • Why would anyone choose to be homeless? Please explain why you believe that.

  • If "homelessness" is a lack of housing, then why did the "homeless" not protest when Chicago tore down Cabrini-Green? Most homeless are that way by CHOICE. What the "homeless advocates" are really saying is they should have a right to camp out anywhere they want. What about the rest of our rights?

  • Reminds me of the Daleks from Dr. Who. EX-TER-MI-NATE!
